About the event
(Level: Beginners and above)
In this workshop, Callum will break down an approach to liquid-like flows using the three R tools: ramp, resist and reverse – which will be a guiding principle for all sequences taught in the workshop. How we manage these degrees of freedom will influence the nature of the flow as will be explored through exemplar sequences.
We will build upon these principles in the discussion of how to develop and find flow pathways. And how does one incorporate pole grips and aerial actions into their flows when these often appear as disjointed or the end point of flow in sequences.
Prerequisites: All levels from beginners to advanced welcome. The focus is on how to flow your dance at your current level! Exemplar exercises will start based around pole walks, chair spin, grounded pirouettes/turns, single climbs from the ground but can be extended for intermediate and above…
