Check out Callum! (@callumspoledance)
In this workshop, we will discuss the main two types of fake sagittal splits and their applications in dance and then specifically to pole. We will explore how these forms are used to create split-like lines in pole and how they assist with dynamic transitions and flow pathways (on and off the pole). This workshop is ideal for people who want to carefully consider the line detailing and range of motions they make use of in their routines to create interesting shapes – rather than jading the audience with another jade.
Prerequisites: attendees should be able to climb, take a pole seat, invert and have familiarity with upright and inverted leg grip positions (gemini, scorpio, brass etc). There will be a wide selection of pole splits that use the two kinds of fake splits so there are lots of options to try…
